Essence:

Everyone prefer the Pro version. There are many bugs in free version. Most annoying not-have feature or bug is that the name of the image can’t be changed.

User’s Feedback :

Works absolutely perfectly for me in a WP network of sites. When you copy an image and then paste it in a comment you have to be patient and wait until the image uploads and a link appears in the comment box. It may look like it isn’t working because if the image is large it does take some time for the text to appear in the box. Once you post the comment, you will then find the image in the Media library.

Essence:

There is no recommendation for another tool, all feedback’s are good, it seems this tool is good.

Feedback on wordpress.org

It is not updated since 2 years. No any support tickets. All bad indicators.

Manual Method from Stack Exchange

How to copy and paste a picture found on the web to wordpress easily

  1. Copy the picture with Ctrl-C (keyboard) or Right-click|Copy (mouse)
  2. To edit the picture first:
    • paste it into a simple photo editor (my favourite is PhotoFiltre; GIMP is too complicated for simple tasks like this). To paste an image, type Ctrl-Shift-V (keyboard) or in the menu click Edit|Paste as new image (mouse).
    • Edit the picture as desired. You do not need to save the image.
    • Copy the new edited image: Ctrl-A to select all and then Ctrl-C to copy (keyboard) or Select|Select all and then Edit|Copy (mouse).
    • In the edit post/page window in WordPress, paste the image directly in Visual view: Ctrl-V.

??

Evaluation:

Two problems with this method:

  1. It will not save the image to the media library. It is for quick-and-dirty image posting only.
  2. The background HTML code for images pasted directly into WordPress is hideous. For cleaner HTML, install the Save Data:URL images plugin, which saves the image to your media folder (but still doesn’t actually add it to the Media Library, as of version 0.1).

Evaluation/problems:

It is not something, which is useful in our case. We need a plugin which use the clipboard, this plugin converts links to images.
