AMD FX-6300 advantages
against Dell 430 XPS (george-Zurich and George-BG)
- In single-threaded programs, the AMD FX-6300 is 4% faster. The performance advantage is application specific. In some of them this CPU could be up to 16% faster.
- Multi-threaded performance of the processor is better.
- The AMD FX-6300 supports hardware acceleration of virtualized tasks.
- The CPU includes SSE4.2 instructions.
- The microprocessor incorporates AES technology, that accelerates AES encryption. The technology is beneficial if you need to secure your disk or network data.
Instruction Set
- The FX-6300 supports AVX, F16C, FMA3 and XOP instructions, introduced in the recent past. These extensions are not broadly supported by applications yet, but their support should improve in future programs.
- The CPU has FMA4 instruction set extension enabled. The FMA4 technology is only offered on AMD CPUs, thus it may not get broad support from software vendors.
- The AMD FX-6300 is unlocked. Therefore, the microprocessor can be freely overclocked on most motherboards when greater performance is needed. Be aware that overclocking voids warranty of the processor.
