Dropit

1 Manual Moves of well-ordered folders

2. Dropit Move based on Folder Name

Dropit rules that moves folders based on well-known names like “PicsMain” or “MyPrivate”

3. Move based on extension

Used for all types except Thb folders and software
dropit rules that move files into right type folder and date (or author for Music)Run the dropit rules
Ignore duplicates, will not get overriddden
Run dropit rules again for duplicates
sync the dropit out folders against the dropit duplicate using Total Commander to verify whether dropit worked well
When date is missing then dropit wants to move files into same folder 0/0/0000 (or recent date)

4. Move based on Modification Date

Problem: Same Exif date
needs second rule set that uses modification date
They are done even for computer stuff
Possible issue: NAS has wrong date

5. Move based on File name

used for Profile Bank that contains the account number

Used for all types except Thb folders and software

PhotoMove

Move into folders by File Extension and File Date

• Move Files with a certain file extension into different folders
• can identify the  EXIF date, the date when the photo has been taken.

Exif data are embedded within the image file itself.

While many recent image manipulation programs recognize and preserve Exif data when writing to a modified image, this is not the case for most older programs.

Therefore we need special programs that are able to identify the EXIF data.
