We describe several points to improve performance

Removing all posts

I know how : I remove now all Posts from the page.
Please note this Task : It is a so-called quick win task
low work and much effect

 

gained from 49% faster to 57% faster than others

Method:

Disabled homepage panes

reduce size of page from 1.1 MB to
800K with removal of posts

Dallas: 3.74 sec

 

I tested Melbourne and it was really slow but FAZ.net was even slower
