  • USB 3.2 = 20 Gbit/s

Synology only supports USB 3.0

QNAP supports USB 3.2

Effective difference in speed between 3.0 and 3.2 on QNAP is 100% not 200% (source)

 

I don’t worry much about USB speed for backups of the backup. If it takes 1 or 2 hours during the day/night, it does not matter at all.
