Keepass Password Groups

• Keepass groups are based on the mail tags
• — Company mails
• Dorgan
• E-llusion —> Must contain all emails passwords that we use in Thunderbird and E-llusion group and harry Software
• — Private
• Harry –> Contains George Private, not needed
• Swiss –> Contains George private, not needed
• Dummies
• — Rest not important
• –> OLD (incl. conflicted)
• — Exception old TeamPW file (stamen) that contains all groups
• — Groups –> Do the synchronisation
• Secret (done in the other task), delete conflicted
• Path for old TeamPW with all groups: P:\SyncTeam\Access\archive

Export Password Group from Keepass

• In Keepass, you can easy export group of entries

1. Open keepass file, from which you want to export the group

2. Click on the group

3. right click on the group

4. Press –> Export

5. Save the new exported file –> Format 2.x

6. The file uses same password as the file from which you have exported it

Import Passwords from Keepass

• In Keepass, you can easy import group of entries or one entry

1. Open Keepass file in which you want to import some group or entry

2. Click on File –> import

3. Navigate to the file which you want to be imported

4. Click “open”

5. Password will be required for the importing file

6. Type password

• — Destination File
• E-llusion
• P:\Sync\$team\Access

Copy Password from Thunderbird Password into Keepas

1. Check the add-on for Saved password is installed and working

2. Open the add-on

3. In Thunderbird click on Tools –> “Saved Logins”

4. Click on button “show passwords”

5. Copy the password you need

Keepass Synchronization

Step1: Log into Keepass

Step2: Open the master files

Step3: go to File –> Synchronize

• Choose all conflicted files in Access folder from December -> files are synchronized and deleted
• Saving as new file -> then synching with master
• Aim: no Conflicted files
• — Condition: Must have same password and kee file!
• Step4: Synchronize File: choose file with conflicted in the name
• Step5: move Conflicted File into synchronisation done
• Def of Done: Only used Keepass files are in the main folder

Change MasterPW

Safety Copy

• Every 3 months create safety copy inside an Excel
• Create and move the excel to UPS

We need a certain security that our passwords are not visible when we leave the workplace

• Change times before it locks

Summary:

There are many conflicted files in D:\Sync\!Team\Access, because sync is too slow. The solution for this problem is, we have to synchronize every file with Keepass.

We have to move Dropbox sections in Keepass under Cloud. Many accounts not invited to friends for space.

Keepass Out of Sync

• TeamPW on George-BG is open and did not get saved –> What do you do with this?
• Saving as new file -> then synching with master
• Step1: Log into Keepass, open TeamPW from George-BG
• Save the TeamPW on George-BG into a new file in access folder TeamPWBG
• Step2: go to File –> Synchronize –> Synchronize File:
