Extensions problem

We are installing the extensions, but when we restart the iridium browser they are gone. Does not work for any computer.

Restore extensions with Dropbox.

1. Solution1:
   Firefox is started is started only on one computer.
   Wait with next computer.
   Does not work for Iridium.

Solution1: One Single Dropbox, but many Iridium installations

Step1: Change Profile Location

Want profile on Dropbox

Call to Iridium specifies the profile location:C:\Dropbox\Portable\Iridium\iridium.exe –user-data-dir=C:\Dropbox\Portable\Iridium

Iridium is looking for Profile in the default directory of this folder.

• Problem: Iridium Portable has the profile on each computer and not in the portable folder
• Solution1: Ask Iridium about profile folder
• Solution2: Look in Chromium, where profile is and change it – Cannot solve
• Solution3: Create a hard link from local folder under user into Dropbox Portable folder
• ?mklink /J “C:\Users\George\AppData\Local\Iridium\User Data\Default\” “c:\dropbox\portable\iridium\Profile”
• one for each computer!
• Use this as example
• rmdir /Q c:\!LocalChromeExtensions
• mklink /J c:\!LocalChromeExtensions “C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions”
• Solution4: Copy the profile from user
• Solution5: shortcut c:\dropbox using the option –user-data-dir=/IridiumUserData
• Additionally: Copy into program links
• Solution6: Create for every computer folder in Dropbox for Iridium and change the path of every copy

Create a folder for each computer inside one single Dropbox. Copy everything from the master to the folder

Step4: Links on Dropbox for

Link for example:

C:\Dropbox\Portable\Iridium\iridium_BG.exe –user-data-dir=C:\Dropbox\Portable\Iridium _BG

Copy to call computers.

Must be execute on local computer.

Total Commander: Sync Directories for program links.

In Blue we see the new link, which gets copied to PCloud.

Many Clouds , Sync between Dropboxes.

Each user / each computer has his own dropbox.

Sync the dropbox regularly.

We simply change the path of the profile location like:

C:\Dropbox\Portable\Iridium\iridium.exe –user-data-dir:

(the path to the folder which you want to be your profile)

– this is the Target path of the .exe file.
