Overview

If you are experienced with the Windows activation process, enter the product key when prompted and complete the activation online or offline.

THE METHOD OF ACTIVATION – ONLINE OR OFFLINE – IS YOUR CHOICE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY !

If your PC does not pass online validation (hardware dependent), then you should validate your Windows offline thru the toll-free automated phone system worldwide.

Step1: Enter the product key

Remark: You may enter the product key via command window.

Neither Online Activation nor Phone Activation works.

Previously it was possible to activate it like this.

Use the Automated Phone System

Go to your Activation Screen :

• Click the Start button, type in the Search box the following text: SLUI 4, press Enter,
• wait 1-2 minutes, select “Use the automated phone system”,
• select your Country from the drop-down list, click Next.

Step 9: Phone Numbers Listed on the Activation Screen

Call one of the available phone numbers listed on the Activation Screen. An automated system will guide you through the activation process. On the possible question: “On how many computers or processors are you installing this product ?” you should answer with “1” (press “1”). Another possible question could be “Are you installing this product on this PC only?“, which you should answer with “Yes” (press “1”). When prompted, enter your Installation-ID using the phone pad. The phone system will then automatically generate a Confirmation-ID. Type the Confirmation-ID into the spaces provided ( boxes A – H ), click Next, and follow the instructions. This will activate your Windows.

Step5: then go to Automated Phone Activation

Result: Cannot confirm the installation ID.

note : when asked how many times you have installed , please mention one only ( do with your phone keypad )

Microsoft will change your serial number and will provide a new one

Step6: You may be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.

Step7: Select your location (or the location nearest you) from the drop-down list, and then select Next.

The acquisition of a stand-alone product key does not yet authorize the use of a licensed computer program (Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt am Main, 30.01.2014 – 11 W 34/12). Therefore, you must also acquire an authorization to use it in the form of a software license (Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt am Main, 18.05.2010 – Az. 11 U 69/09).

IMPORTANT : Please note that the Windows Installation-ID (as initially generated by the Product Key on your PC) must stay permanent for the life of your Windows. Major hardware changes (such as, for example, a new hard drive, new graphic card, or the use of a virtual/clone drive) will change the PC-configuration and the Installation-ID. Any new Installation-ID from this same Key may be accepted by the Windows Update Server as a second PC on the same Key and may lead to the deactivation of the Key, because it is a 1-PC-Key, which can be used for an activation on 1 PC only.
