Base Software Folder

we distinguish between base software for computers and laptops.

It contains the software installation packages.

New order for Software folders and files.

• (1a) Portable SW Base contains only Portable versions of all Software
• (1b) Installation SW Computer Base contains only install versions
• (1c) Installation SW Laptop Base contains only install versions for Laptop
• (1d) Software NAS Base
• (1e) Software Android Base
• (2) Additional Software contains only software which is not in Base Software

• Year / Month of Software creation or Download if not clear

These are the folders inside base software for computers. The folders are the same for base software laptops.

In our table we have a link to a download location.

Stable links often have a long history of page calls, as you can see in the dots on the calendar.

Order Files after Download

• Never use Download Folder
• But order into right folder: Category + Software Name
• If it is one File: Use date and version number inside file name (not in Folder anymore)
• Example: FoxitReaderPortable_9.1.0.5096 201807.paf.exe
• Exception: many files: Create a folder with date (only for extracted portable) –> Not really needed, we use PAF or ZIP, avoid doing!!
• Always one installation Files: Compressed EXE for Installation
• PAF File for portable app
• RAR/ZIP for Compressed Portable software
