Explanation

Not Allowed List Names

List Name = Person Name

In the backlog, we still use the following names for lists and boards:

• Open
• estimates
• George tasks
• Team Tasks

We will still need to clean them up in the backlog.

Wrong Names for Boards Lists

List in Normal Sprints

Trello List Name = Status of Task

1. List Names defines status of a card
2. During each sprint, we move cards from the left to the right.
3. We never jump over certain lists, but move to the next one to the right.

Backlog List Names

List Names = Subcategory (Album)

In this approach the list names are the subcategory.

Correct Names for Lists

use subcategory as Board name for boards that have already a specific name

Correct Names:

• Usually use Subcategory name
• Use plugin page number if we have many tasks for this plugin

• The list names must be keywords from the board name
• or they are page names

Task: Trello Cards into Right Lists

Input: Trello Card and all Trello Lists

Steps:

• Work on all boards in the Backlog Team
• Delete old Lists when they are empty and not have right name
• Output: Find Right Trello List for the Trello Card
• Precondition: Create first the Trello Lists for all subcategories

Cannot identify keywords-> “George  Find Board”

if you cannot identify the keywords, then move to George  Find Board

2. Archive the lists

Summary:

• Go through all Backlogs https://trello.com/ellbacklog/home
• (which are without (old) in names)
• Create all input column/lists for each BL
• INPUT column is first column
• Go to Sprints Backlog
• Open Sprint by Sprint
• Move tasks into right BL according keywords (see our menu)
• Move it into INPUT column inside right BL
• For CLOSED column with closed tasks, simply archive whole list –> NO NEED TO ARCHIVE
• Tasks in “Task & Doc DONE, George Testing” Column –> put Dark Blue Label and move them to right backlog

Lists for Doc Pages (old)

In the doc page backlog or sometimes during the sprints, we

create Trello lists

• for putting Trello items into the right pages, albums, menu

Order of Work:

1. Niki Controls if Trello items have the right page number
2. Sometimes George does double-check
3. Only then team copies the pages

Move Old Trello Lists

Folder Name and Trello Card Name

• Trello uses not only Folder Name on Cloud
• Trello Card uses also Video Name, Image Name
