Chandler Speculative Position

Chandler’s speculative position comes on Sunday

I have to correct the posts:
Corrected version:

Old Post: See image
Net and Prior
Net = Gross Long – Gross Short (for this week)
Prior is more complicated, we do not do this exercise
Prior = (Gross Long + Change) – (Gross Short + Change)

  • Title: “Weekly Speculative Positions:” then shorten old text a bit
  • Manual Editing Box
  • add tag: “Speculative Positions”
  • add
    next to author box
  • Remove all newlines so that the layout is ok. One way is paste pure text (see old text pic), because his bold text is not so helpful
  • Create H3 bold Chapters for the currencies, oil and treasuries (5 words main headlines)
  • Add chapter for Swiss Franc: Write a text for table values Net (10.9) and Prior (6.4) like “The net speculative position in CHF increased from 6.4k contracts to 10.9k contracts.”
  • Table: Verify that the numbers for Net and Prior did not move to left (see correct table attached). Sometimes the table is corrupt. (see corrupt table)
  • Table: When the table is corrupt, you must copy the euro row, paste it before, and override the euro row with Nothing, Net , Prior, Gross Long, Change,… then you can delete the corrupt row
  • Table: Add two new rows for crude oil and treasuries. If the Table is corrupt you better copy the Mexican Peso and paste it after
  • Write the row texts based on text on oil and treasuries. See the screen “Text for Crude Oil into table”
  • Make screenshot of table and store it under p cloud –> FX Trends –> Speculative Positions (Saturday) with name “Commitments of Traders” + date in the table
  • Set the table image as featured image ALT TEXT= Commitments of Traders July Speculative Position + Date
  • Add [OandaSpecPos] and
and bold “Graphs and additional information on Swiss Franc by the snbchf team.”
  • at the end
  • italic, bold: Graphs and additional information on Swiss Franc by the snbchf team.

Excerpt The pro-European politician Macron has won the French elections.  His success moved the EUR/CHF up to 1.0980, mostly caused by FX speculators. But “serious” investors (not FX speculators)  did not follow the political event, but focus on monetary policy. A  ECB rate hike is very, very far, see why….
