Instead of using the Sahifa Page Builder, we could also copy the page builder from other plugins.
Alternative 1: Page builder from Sahifa
This page describes the difficulties in extracting it from Sahifa. The page building blocks in Sahifa are written in Javascript and Ajax. As part of the Category Pictures plugin, we want to extract this functionality.
Alternative 2: Page builder from OriginSite
This one is written in PHP, but the code seems to be ugly.
However it has two nice functionalities.
- It makes pages widgetable
- It can divide pages into chapters.
