Find out what is moving in Sync.
If the folder is in sync –> on the folder icon you’ll see green label
1) Find out if Pcloud Sync is still moving: number of files to be synched are still changing)
2) Aim: Which syncs are working, which are not

Solution1: Manual Sync
—– Folder that are blue
If the folder is not sync –> on the folder icon you’ll see blue label
a) For each sync find out which folders are blue
b) if there are just a few files and folders
c) –> Move the blue files to other location (only when these files are not important)
d) Do a manual sync via Total Commander, for the syncs that make problems

Delete Cache
Solution 2: Delete the Pcloud Cache
e.g. G:\ZZPcache or E:\!!PcloudCache

Solution 3: Delete the Sync (and Backups)If there are many files that make problems
a) Remove the pcloud sync and do manual sync
b) add the Pcloud sync again

Delete Pcloud DB
Solution 4: Delete the PCloud DB
provided that Pcloud is still running:
First do a manual sync with Total Commander
V64 Regular Manual File Sync for sync each folder
- if downloads/upload remain stuck: Exit Pcloud, kill process
- Windows Explorer Properties :Show hidden files
- In Windows explorer: Open Type %LOCALAPPDATA% in the address bar, this contains the Pcloud internal folder
- This will go to C:\Users\George\AppData\Local for user George
- Rename existing DB file with date–> data.db.20180619
- Delete all files in the pcloud folder, in particular the data files

Pcloud Sync Deletes Data
Pcloud does not official support the sync with a NAS.
But it still works pretty well on Windows.
When I sync my Mac to the DAT folder on the NAS, the data gets deleted. |

Option1: Rewind Pcloud
Pcloud Rewind
Rewind provides a preview of your pCloud account from a certain point in the past. From there, you can restore or download a certain file, folder or your entire pCloud account at once. You will find all the files you recover with Rewind in a folder called “Rewind” in your Home directory. Let’s say you want to recover 5 files from 1. Feb. 2017 from 01:30 p.m (UTC 2+). You will find them in the Rewind folder, under a subfolder with the name “5 files restored from Feb 01,2017 13:30”. You can then move the files wherever you like in your account afterwards.

How to:
1) Find out the date and time when the files started to get deleted. Use the trash for this.

2) Rewind to that date
Advantage:
It appears to be an offline operation, that is run on the server.
Disadvantage:
No selection possibilities which files should be restored.
Really deleted files will be restored, too. |

Option2: Pcloud Untrash
How to:
1) Find out the date and time when the files started to get deleted. Use the trash for this.
Do it preferably on the device where a Pcloud Sync deleted the files.
2) Check all files for that date.
3) Press restore.
Advantage:
Choice of what should be restored.
Disadvantage:
It is an online operation: Restoring many files may take considerable time, when the browser does not respond.

Option3: Restore from NAS Recycle Bin
This is the quickest and easiest way to restore.
Precondition: You are synching to the NAS
Just move from #recycle into the normal folder again.
It will sync into Pcloud with Pcloud Sync given that it will be considered a new file.
Disadvantages:
Pcloud thinks that these are new files

Pcloud Sync Rename Folder Bug
- Understand what happening with pCloud when folder is renamed
- Expected functionality: Renamed on pCloud is renamed, too.

- It has issue again
- The renaming does not work –> no, it works, it just slow.
- For pCloud is a new folder –> This the problem, upload new folder, but finally realizes that it exists
- Bug: No protocol of uploading files to be renamed
|

Pcloud shows different folders on 2 computers

- Choose one of them so that sync works again
